ABOUT THE AUTHOR

A rising poet who tackles difficult conversations about race, identity, and social equity through verse and prose, Keishann Corley has always had interests in writing and was known in junior high school for her poetic work.

At the age of thirteen, Keishann witnessed the 2001 Cincinnati riots and internalized the disturbing events that shook her world. And throughout her professional career in both the public and private sector, she has experienced microaggressions and bullying. Her unique style captures these experiences and uses them to confront divisive disparities in a way that is engaging and intuitive.

Keishann completed a graduate degree in public administration and actively engages in conversations about diversity and inclusion. She is an advocate for youth empowerment and enjoys rollerblading and spending time with her niece and nephew.
