This book explores many of the issues that Millennials face, such as being known as the broken or lost generation due to the financial setbacks that were caused during the Great Recession; massive amounts of student debt; and how they have abandoned many of the old ways of thinking about religion, marriage, education, and company structure. Millennials explores how they are one of the most depressed, addicted, and unhealthiest generations despite being so young and vibrant.

Much of the work was written based on firsthand experiences and research conducted by Perry. The goal is to educate those from different generations of the stereotypes and misinformation and the Millennials themselves, especially those who are thirty and older. The writing is controversial and biased at times but still informative and firm in a world where the word “millennial” has become offensive. We must begin to shed like on the fact that this is a group of young people who have spent the last decade on an uphill battle with themselves, society, and the economy.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Delano Perry is a millennial, a certified life coach, and a Navy service-disabled veteran. He credits the Navy for shaping and developing leadership skills that he translated into running his own successful janitorial business for years before finding his true passion in writing and impacting lives through coaching.

He suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and depression, yet he has not allowed this to stop him from touching those who are fighting mental battles themselves. He provides powerful insight and guidance to other Millennials who are struggling with mental illness. Delano refers to himself as the Hardheaded Millennial, spending most of his time around many people who are older than he.

He has learned that old methods do not always provide solutions for new issues, so he goes against the grain. He lives by the mantra, "Frustration is just a sign of someone who wants to be successful." Delano brings passion and purpose, although some days are rougher than others. He puts on that big smile and aims to inspire the lives of others daily.
